1/4-28 x 1. But now I need two. I took the other one off to double check, dropped it and it bounced off my shoe into the grassy void. :(

Sorry I'm going to miss the lunch today, still not there.
I was really looking forward to it.

I think the gathering went well. I counted 19 folks there. Thankfully many of the "experts" were there like Fred K., Jeff L., Ed F., Tim...

Nothing fancy or lengthy, just lunch and some good conversation. I was excited to hear about Tim's long trip from PA and AZJOE's trip from AZ, both good examples of what the little plane can do. I also enjoyed listening to the guy that is flying the low wing S-1, Mike Mills I think, he reports good handling.

Several guys expressed appreciation for this informative forum, so keep posting!

The Sonerai lunch at Ace's Cafe worked out well. Good turn-out; probably easier for a lot of the guys to attend on-field rather than off-site. Cold beer would have been good, but had a couple later that evening.

Agree with Kevin R about the flights of AZJoe & Tim. Encouraging to me.

Good to meet a few of the guys that post their progress here.

Made is home just before civil twilight last night. 13.8 hours of flying. Our little birds are quite remarkable, though I don't recommend spending 13.8 hours in one. They definitely weren't designed with long cross countries in mind. I would imagine that the low wing design would be a little easier for the long flights. With no dihedral the mid-wing plane can't be flown hands off for long.

It was great meeting everyone!

AZJOE gets the Iron Butt award! Geez, good on ya!

Glad you are back home safely.

Tim, please let us know about your return trip.

AZJOE, Tim and all the Sonexs that came long distances to OSH really attest to the reliability of the VW engines (Subaru too!).

There were a pretty good number of Hummelbirds flying successfully behind full and half sized Scott Casler built VWs with no apparent issues also.

Sorry to miss everyone at KOSH this year. Sounds like you had a good time and a pretty good turn out.

Killed me not to be there but I was in Canada closing the sale on a plane I have been working to import for the past three months and then had to head down to New Jersey for work.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by the airplane to chat, and listen to my forums. I had a great week, even sold a couple sets of plans. Already thinking about how I will do things differently next year. Hopefully, we'll have even more Sonerai's there in '16. It's time to get those airplanes done, and start planning the trip to OSH.

I had a good time. Think there should be a 11:00 gathering time every day. If you want to stop by and see if sonerai guys are there. Nice location.

I returned home on early Monday morning. The guys that flew out with me decided to leave on Wednesday two days after the show started. My daughter , husband, and grand kids all came from Texas to spend the week I was not about to leave them early. I opted to stay the entire week and not fly it home. I borrowed Jeff Langes enclosed trailer and towed it home. It is now safely back in the hangar and reassembled. It was good to see the people that turned out and especially rewarding to fly mine out there.

Congratulations on those first long cross country flights guys! ...and thank you for the updates. So did anyone see anything new or spend some money?

Yes, good to see all for the Wed lunch. Good turn out :)
