Starting a different thread here for tests on the 740cc version of the small block 670 Predator.
Crankcase external dimesions are the same as the 670. The flywheel has the same taper and ring gear as the 670, but has an advanced version of charging system with a full stator and 12 magnets instead of 3 for the 670. Starter, carb, intake, oil cooler, air filter, cooling fan, and shrouds appear identical. The control box has been updated with a removable key and circuit breaker protection. The voltage regulator is also upgraded to a larger unit with more heat sink surface area. The dip stick has been upgraded to use the same tube and stick as on the 999 models, which will make this much easier to use, especially if the engine is cowled.
I'll run a baseline HP test this weekend to see if it puts out more power than the stock 670 did.
