I've been thinking about the plumbing for my Zenith build lately and I'm leaning towards using a header tank. So now I have a lot of questions...

Has anyone done that in a Super Duty build? Where did you mount it? Does it cause a CG problem?

Based on a quick search of the forum, it seems that header tanks are a little controversial around here, with the most frequent response being, "why?". For me, the answer is: I don't like tank selector valves. They cause more accidents than they prevent, so I'm just not going to have one. I will have a shutoff valve, of course. Given the plumbing options in the ULPower 520T installation manual, it looks like that means I'll need a header tank to go with my lack of selector valve.

I've found the SkyTek offering, which looks nice. I'm not so sure about the mounting location, though. Having that much fuel right next to my head seems like a Bad Thing. Has anyone used their product?

I like the location of this one better. He adds a drain fitting to the header, which is nice, but he also T's the two wing tanks together instead of using separate tubes for each tank. Will that work? Is that tank big enough to prevent recirculating warm fuel?

Are there other options I should be looking at?

Do I use vented tank caps for the wing tanks? or do I vent the header tank instead of the wing tanks?

Do I still need drain plugs on the wing tanks if I add a drain plug to the header tank?
