Day 1:

We were contacted by a purchaser who wants to move their aircraft into the 21st century. The aircraft is a Falco F8L with around 500 hours in service.

The aircraft has a Bendix Fuel injection system and slick magnetos. First job was to remove the covers and look at what we have. This is the top of the engine and looks reasonably normal for a mechanical fuel injection system. The owner calls it dribble-jection :)

The accessory case is quite busy as well. Part of this change is to also remove the un-used vacuum pump and try to give the Falco a diet!

Next post is Day 1 and stripping the engine down to get the new parts
