Hi everyone. My question: do you have any experience using Titebond 3 on a full-scale flying aircraft? If so, what components did you use it on? And how many years and flight hours has your plane flown? (What have been the results?) I know this topic can be more controversial than politics or religion, so please note that I am not soliciting opinions, ONLY EXPERIENCE. Thank you! (For context: I’m building a ragwing special, and have been gluing the ribs with titebond 3. The wood is planed, and the joints are tight and well-clamped. Im happy so far with the results. As a furniture maker, I think I’m better suited to making titebond-friendly joints more than the relatively loose joints that seem to be favored for epoxy work. Also, I simply enjoy working with it and don’t want to mess with epoxy or any other 2-part system more than absolutely necessary. So, in short, I’m discerning gluing as much of the plane as possible with titebond 3, but would like to learn as much as I can first about the experiences/ results others have had with it).
