Gentlemen,
The automotive industry offers spray on material that is said to have sound reduction and fireproof features.

I think a similar spray might be used by commercial aircraft manufacturers.

Does anyone have experience with use of such an automotive product in the engine compartment of a homebuilt aircraft where the structure is welded steel tube, galvanized steel firewall and the cowling sheet aluminum?

If so, any impressions of its application, performance and/or durability will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
