Just saw news of this:

Not sure that it is an OpenVSP replacement, because it talks about how to integrate it within Aviary, but looks like yet another Free-Libre Open Source Software (FLOSS) application for the community.

Obviously just a conceptualization tool and far from full part by part design, but has anyone tried this yet?
