I'm educating myself in preparation for a build in the not-too-distant future, and want to calculate the natural frequency of a phazer, long (~6 ft) driveshaft, and propeller. Has anybody done a measurement/calculation/analysis of a phazer (or any of the other 4-stroke engines) with the gearbox?
While I'm here, from what I can tell, there is no soft element in any of the YG2/3/4 engine/gearbox, unless you count the clutch, or replace the clutch with some sort of giubo, which can make for hard starts. Is that right?
