Hey all, this is pure favor-asking, disregard if offensive!

I'm starting to look more seriously at what I would replace the Commander 112 TC-A with if I went experimental -- thinking about buying, not building.

As with the Commander, the mission is regular 500 nm trips from KKNB (5000 ft altitude home base, hot desert) to KPAO (2400 foot strip), IFR capable; and other pleasure trips as arise, but more focused on a nice stable platform than anything else. I'm a big guy (265 lbs, most of it in width), and I like my comfort -- that's why I went with the Commander over most other four seaters in the fleet to begin with. I don't actually need four seats, two is fine. I'd put 140 kts as a minimum, with 160+ kts a not-unreasonable target. I'd like to keep fuel burn to 10 mpg or better, with 12+ being nice. I'm generally in favor of a turbocharger, but I recognize a bigger engine is fine; similarly, I really do like a CS prop, but enough power fixes all sorts of problems.

MZ has helped me line up a ride in a Velocity XL, which I think will satisfy my curiosity as to whether I want to look into canards in general more carefully.

I'm reaching out to y'all to see if anyone can help me line up right-seat rides in an RV-14 (or even an RV-10), and/or in a Glasair Sportsman, as these are the two "conventional" experimental designs that I can see myself seriously considering. Willing to travel, pay for costs, etc. And assuming I travel in the Commander to get there, will of course provide same.

PM me.
