Here's the picture of our race plane's horizontal. Five parts for the stab, manufactured in three tools. Parts are self jigging so total stab assembly time was about two hours on a Saturday morning.

I could see the same sand/cement method working with hot wire type patterns as it does the center pivot and pattern board.
