Well, I bought a core engine because I wanted to know what they weighed and also what everything looked like inside. A little background, I own a 2022 Silverado with this engine and I'm very happy with it for our use. I unloaded the engine today and got an initial weight with a few extra brackets, intercooler, exhaust manifold, water pump, lots of plumbing and electrical, and the egr valve and stainless plumbing for it all still attached. So far I'm surprised as GM says this engine weighs 467#. They don't mention what all is included in thst weight but I'm guessing that is a fully dressed and fluid filled engine because this one as it sits weighed a surprising 398.16# on my hoist scale. I'll be discecting it over the next couple of weeks as I have time and we can get an idea of what all makes up this weight.
