So I'm about to start work on the fuel system of my Hornet gyro and thought I would ask opinions on the fuel line plumbing.
*The fuel tanks will be a 7.5 gallon seat tank and a 5 gallon reserve tank below the engine.
I can get the 5 gallon reserve tank with or without a fuel fill port....without the fuel fill port is about $90 cheaper.
*The fuel pumps will be a high flow pulse pump driven from the engine port and an electric pump.
I have always ran an electric pump parallel to the pulse pump...for redundancy.

My question is this :
Would you run the two tanks as totally separate systems which would mean I would need the 5 gallon tank with the fill port ?
OR......
Would you run the tanks as one system and let the seat tank feed the reserve tank then to the engine....which means I can get the tank without the fill port but will need to vent it back to the seat tank because its cap is vented ?

Attached is a quick sketch.....an artist I'm not.
