Does anyone here have an easy solution for forming a leading edge skin from .025" 2024-T3 with a changing radius on the leading edge, from around 1" to 2" on about a 5' span. It is for a vertical stabilizer leading edge skin on a BT-13 war-bird. I'm looking for something simple. I don't think vacuum forming would work in this application because I don't have a tapered mandrel to put behind the LE. I have seen something called a deep slot bender but I can't find info on it now. I have seen people use 3 each 2"x4"s as a clamp close to the LE.
Any ideas or pictures would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Swaid
