I've been working on a Velocity Rescue project and am close to completion.
I'm in Nebraska and it's cold as hell.
I cannot heat my hangar as stated in my rental agreement so you have to get a little creative.
I been able to get some composite work done using electric blankets and packing quilts to keep the temp up.
I realized I would not be able to be flying by fall of 2024 so I figured I would make the best of it and upgrade my steam gauge panel to a Dynon.
I've been using the SolidWorks CAD tool to layout my panel as I collect components. I have everything I need save a few cables and my backup screen.

So Tuesday Jan. 28 I take my aluminum & CAD file down to a machine shop to have it laser cut. Things are looking good right?
Wednesday morning I get an eviction notice from the Omaha Airport Authority giving me 30 days to vacate the hangar.
So now the fight is on and we should all know how to fight back!
So far I have talked with the Airplane Owners and Pilots Assn. (AOPA) of which I am a member. When I joined I took out the legal services coverage so I have sent them my rental agreement and have an appointment to speak with a lawyer on the 12TH.

I also contacted the Experimental Aircraft Assn. (EAA) of which I am a lifetime member. They are all about home built aircraft and they have some real clout.

Them I contacted my Congressman retired General Don Bacon. I really laid on thick as to the Veteran-to-Veteran angle. These clowns I'm dealing with have received a boat load of money from the FAA and one of the conditions of taking that money is that you have to pledge to support any aviation related activity which what I am doing falls under. My option as a tenant would be to file a FAA Part 16 Complaint against the Omaha Airport Authority (OAA.) As a result, when the FAA gets involved, all FAA funds that are directed towards that recipient are frozen until the complaint reaches a resolution. If these guys refuse to stand by their pledge to support aviation related activity, then the FAA will ask them to return the money. Currently the OAA is in the middle of a major expansion program at Eppley (KOMA).
I'll bet that would really knot their knickers.

So I had pretty much exhausted my options when it occurred to me that the wife of a buddy of mine got a job with the FAA in D.C. a few years back, so I asked him to relay my plight and see if I can get some feedback from her as a inside edge.

This kind of B.S. is going on all over the country and you should keep this in mind.
It would be a good Idea to familiarize yourself with Part 16.
It's a strong play.
