I've been researching the 'taper' wings that started to be installed on Cassutts from the early seventies on. Replacing the original 15 or 17 foot 'slab' wings, these more sophisticated wings were installed in the search of more performance. I found the Wilson, Stockbarger, Owl, Grove, Snoshoo and Catto wings as being used on multiple Cassutts, and the Cosgrove / Moeller and Gibson wings as one-offs.
I collected photos and data, and tried to do photo analyses to calculate span, taper, aspect ratio etc. But there are still major gaps. I made a webpage showing all research so far:
https://robdebie.home.xs4all.nl/models/cassutt-wings.htm
I've copied some photos here. Note that I'm not trying to identify each individual Cassutt's wing type, or make an overview of all Cassutts with a particular wing type. I merely want to document the wing designs themselves.
Thanks in advance for any data you can provide!
