Another item possibly worth mentioning is that VW engines do not windmill if the fuel flow is interupted. Not a problem if you have an electrical system and starter. Big problem if you go the light weight route without electrics. And I also would emphasize that speed builds up very quickly in a clean airplane such as the Sonerai. I have not flown any aerobatics yet, still a fairly new machine. I do know that my Emeraude builds up airspeed very quickly and a botched manoever can get you in trouble in a hurry. If you do not have aerobatic experience make sure you get some aerobatic training beforehand especially unusual attitude recovery training.
