Maybe this has been a thing for years, but until yesterday, I never noticed pricing differences between Aircraft Spruce locations.
I entered an order through their website for a dozen miscellaneous items (nuts, bolts, washers, adel clamps) yesterday and selected USPS shipping. I selected "optimum" fulfilment and (IIRC) "Optimum" was to be filled from a warehouse in Illinois. Since there is a warehouse 30 miles from me here in the Atlanta suburbs, I experimented by selecting that as the fulfilment location, thinking the shipment might get to me faster/cheaper that way. The Atlanta warehouse had everything in stock, btw.
So the first surprise was that the shipping from Illinois was $9.xx and the shipping from Georgia was going to be $17.xx. Also the cost of the parts was different between the two locations.
Anyone else seen this? Have I been blind to it for 30 years? Enquiring minds and alll.
For what it is worth, this isn't a rag on ACS thread, just me asking if this is something others have seen...
