Here is the latest, from the owner of Air Cover Engineering, the new owner of the T-51 kit company:

An update from Air Cover Engineering.
Air Cover Aviation has partnered with a website development company to rebuild the existing site, which will be integrated into a new website for the Air Cover Aviation group. The new site is expected to launch in the coming weeks. In the meantime, the current “Titan” website will remain active to ensure continued access to existing resources during the transition.

As we rebuild our purchasing and inventory systems, along with supplier relationships, parts are beginning to become available. The first shipments are expected in the coming weeks. We ask for your patience, as this is a complex process with many parts to source and produce, so not everything will be available immediately. We aim to have full parts availability by fall this year.

The team at Air Cover Engineering is currently working to complete a partially assembled kit, which will help us better understand the parts and processes involved in the aircraft. Our goal is to have this airplane flying by early June. Following that, we will begin building a second airframe from the ground up. This second aircraft, ACE T-51 serial number 001, will feature several updates, and we hope to complete it by fall.

We plan to redesign the undercarriage mounting and retraction mechanisms, the hydraulic system, the brake system, and certain parts of the electrical system to align more closely with certified aircraft standards. We will also isolate the ignition system from the rest of the aircraft and update the ECU. Additionally, we are designing a new heat and air conditioning system. We are pursuing these redesigns with a strong emphasis on standardization and quality control. Laser cutting and hydraulic forming will be used for ribs and skins, areas where Air Cover Engineering has significant expertise.

We expect to begin selling new ACE T-51 kit aircraft in the fall, with a more streamlined set of kit options. We will support the LS3 engine with a 600-series PSRU and a 90-inch propeller. Our goal is to have at least one complete kit in stock before we begin sales, allowing us to ship kits as soon as orders are received.

With invaluable assistance from former Titan employees, the community, and the entire Air Cover team, we are steadily putting everything back together. We’re excited to help current T-51 builders complete their projects, support existing aircraft owners in keeping their planes flying, and get more aircraft in the air.

I am thrilled that ACE has chosen to support the LS3, 600 Series PSRU, and the new 300 Series 90" Propeller. If ACE follows through on the above statement, they will essentially make the Mustang what it should have been from the beginning.
