Sorry this came up when I searched duckduckgo.com for something and I felt morally obliged to share it (forum search didn't indicate it previously discussed)! The production of more kits has been suspended sadly until the designer can find someone new to manufacture more castings (previous supplier folded).

  • Bore and Stroke: 1.35 x 1.50 inches (25% scale)
  • Cylinder Displacement: 2.15 cubic inches = 35.2 cc
  • Total Displacement: 25.75 cubic inches = 422 cc
  • Horsepower: 16 @ 3600 rpm (estimated)
  • Overall length: approximately 20 inches
  • Weight: approximately 16.5 lb
Not too shabby on the mass:hp ratio, I thought.

If anyone sticks these on the nose of their Cri-Cri, all I ask is that we get a photograph!

I put this in off-topic as it's aimed at aero/engine modelling/machining, but I hope mods will feel free to move it as they see fit.

For more info beyond the designer's website, there's a thread on HMEM here: https://www.homemodelenginemachinist.com/threads/quarter-scale-merlin-v-12.24153/ and an article on HAD here: https://hackaday.com/2017/09/11/if-...el-engine-you-might-as-well-make-it-a-merlin/
