We just completed our first day of serious taxi tests. All went extremely well, with the engine parameters all within the ideal operating range.
Next will be more taxi tests, at speeds approaching flying speeds. A big thanks to test pilot Jeremy Kibbey for assisting with this early phase of the test program.
My primary test pilot, Elliot Seguin, will work with us sometime after the first week in August. He is booked solid until then.
These pictures were taken on the two year anniversary (7-6-23) of the destruction of Texas Toye. She is back! And better than ever!
Texas Toye will look much better after the new paint is applied.
A huge thanks to my mechanic, Ron Dalin, for his efforts and sacrifice over the last 2 years to see this project through. Without him, this rebuild never would have happened.
Also a big thanks to Jim Rust at Whirlwind Propeller for getting the replacement prop to us in time.
