I am building a CH 750 Cruzer. Apparently at some point Zenith stopped putting a mass balance in the rudder horn. I will be operating near Vne (if interpreted as a TAS, they don't specify) as I am at high altitude and am installing a turbo so I would like as much flutter margin as possible. I have a couple pounds of lead and I was considering installing 1 or 2 lbs in the horn. I've been trying to catch the person at Zenith to ask but was hoping some here would have additional input on if this is needed or even a good idea.
The rudder horn is not the most robust so I am hesitant to fully balance it. I am worried a severe vertical gust could bend the horn down and worst case bind the rudder.
