I'm just starting to experiment with gas welding and having some difficulty with sticking of the R45 filler rod. I have read that ideally a filler rod should be less than the thickness of the base metal but the smallest R45 comes is 1/16th inch. I do feel that R45 is the best filler but would it be possible to use ER70S-6 mig wire?
