I fully constructed a wooden wing for my DR-107 project and intend on load testing this since it will be expected do 10g positive and negative. The problem I have is the wing I constructed is not the original design but a derivative; larger wing area and longer as well as the internal geometry is different. It is essentially a different wing. The person who designed it passed away a few years ago and I do not know the design constraints they used. In order to test this I need to have a starting point, of which I know the aircraft designed max gross weight of 1150 lb. That's it. How can I go about determining the wing limitations on paper before going forward with the physical tests?
