Hello. I am trying to epoxy some aluminum parts using Aeropoxy 6228. I cleaned the surface, sanded and let it cure for 48 hrs at about 100F or so. The area is about 1.5x4 in or so that means about 6square inches. It is a scrap piece for tryouts. It holds if I try it in shear but if I twist the two parts, after 3-4 twists they come apart. Their claim is over 3000psi in shear, so it shouldn’t budge on my attempt to pull the parts apart. It should hold at least 18000lb. What am I doing wrong? What is the best agent to clean the parts with and how critical is the temperature? Thx.
