Why would you want an LSA when you could have a perfectly good MotorGlider instead?

Motorgliders come in various sizes and performance but can (and often do) exceed the useful load, range (legal and physical), cruise speed, altitude limitation of an LSA and do not require a medical.

So what obscure worldly reason would cause you to want the excess b.s. of an LSA. Is there a percentage of the pilot community that should be denied a medical for reason of insanity?
