hello all, i just sent for my plans today(2stretch)and i wanted to know if you can tack the 4130 steel with a mig, then finish welding with the tig

Before I had a TIG welder at home, I tacked some 4130 parts with my MIG welder and tigged them at work (shhhh) and I did notice a discoloration at the tacked area and it welded weird. It's hard to describe, but it was significantly different than when the tack was done with a TIG torch. I wouldn't call it a problem, necessarily, but with airplane stuff we seem to avoid the weird stuff.
