I am thinking of building a Rebel as my first plane but along with finding auto conversions cool I also am a cheap Yankee meaning the savings are really attractive to me. ;) I want to hear about any issues that you might find with this and alternatives. I was looking at a 160 HP Yamaha aero conversion but the weight was so much less than the 0-320 that the rebel has as a listed engine that it made me a bit worried about issues involving center of mass vs lift. Would love to hear thoughts about if my concerns are unwarranted though! (That yamaha sure is cheaper... :))
