I've been shopping around for ideas on what kind of vacuum pump I will need for the large infusions I will need to do. Was ready to settle on a two stage rotary vane oiled type unit when the Air Vac UV143H was brought to my attention. The UV143H is a venturi device with no moving parts that uses a supply of compressed air to generate a vacuum. The claim is that 4.3 SCFM at 80 psi will generate a near perfect vacuum. The downside is it is very noisy. I'm posting this today in hopes that someone in the homebuilding community on this forum has used such a device to generate a vacuum for vacuum infusion or bagging in general and how it worked out for them. How they set it up with manifold, valves and what-not.
Tried searching the subject but didn't find much.
