We're getting more requests about information on closed loop EFI control from Europe. We've not included aviation specific closed loop control at this point due to to the still widespread use of leaded avgas in most parts of the world which is unfriendly to oxygen sensors.
I understand that unleaded avgas has been available in certain European countries for over 20 years now. I know Total (UK, France) and Hjelmco (Sweden) have been selling their UL fuel products at a number of airports for quite some time.
My question is- how widespread is availability in your country? Pricing? Do you use it? Can you reasonably plan a cross country trip across Europe and be able to fill up with UL avgas?
I have no idea what sort of progress is being made on UL avgas in Australia/ NZ. I'd appreciate any info on that front too.
