Many, many two-seat fun aircraft (homebuilts, microlights, LSAs, classic taildraggers, etc.) are often flown solo. Even when there is a second person aboard, that person is often a non-pilot. It's a lot easier to "package" two people in a small, light aircraft for minimal weight and drag if only one of them needs access to flight controls. Eliminating the second set of controls can also save some cost and weight. How many HBAers would be interested in a small two-seater *without* dual controls?
