Here is a puzzle for you...

T-88 epoxy can be mixed 1:1 by volume. Or it can be mixed 1:0.83 by weight, which is what I have been doing.

Whether by weight or by volume, it should come out the same.

So why is my resin bottle more empty than the hardener?

I looked on the System 3 web site and cannot find the density of the T-88 components.
