We've just finished our prototype lightweight flywheel for Lycoming engines. Machined from 6061T6 billet, it weighs just under 1 pound less than the stock Lycoming part. It will be available in 5/8 and 3/4 bushing versions with the 149 tooth ring gear. This fits 320,360 and 540 engines.
We decided not to go as light as some of the other aftermarket choices, preferring to keep a higher strength margin and price below the other choices out there. Once we finish testing, we hope to have production parts on the shelf by early August.
