I'm not trying to get into anything pollitical or devisive but in just my observations at OSH, I believe in that one place is the greatest concentration of skill that our country possesses. I'm sure my elders can chime in here but it seems to me that our country is now focused on the bottom line rather than quality or skill. We seem to be satisfied with the desposable rather than craft built products that go on for a lifetime. Where does one learn skill these days? I'm thinking that schools in the US are more of indoctrination camps for mouse drivers and corporate pollitics. I hope I'm wrong but I can't see general aviation continuing without an Oshkosh or those who put a premium on skills and the time given to obtain them. Are we the last generation with a need to satiate our desires for accomplishment in long term goals?
