Getting away from the "simplified" or "Volksplane-like" theme, let's just talk about light biplanes in general. I personally would like to see some new, low-powered, two-seat biplane designs for plans building. There are a few out there including the Flitzer Z-2, Hatz, and Buddy Baby Great Lakes, but most of the current two-seat, plans-built biplane options are relatively heavy and/or powerful.
As a baseline for this discussion, I am going to assume gross weight of 450-600 kg (992-1320 lbs), 100 hp or less, and speeds to suit anything from European microlight to U.S. Light Sport Aircraft categories. Within those limits...what would you prefer? It's OK to choose more than one option for each characteristic. If you have a specific historical aircraft in mind, say so in your reply.
