I'm looking for suggestions for marking a wood panel. As mentioned elsewhere, I'm adding a wood enclosure for batteries on my plane, with several switches and indicators that need to be labeled. The panel is 1/8" mahogany plywood. I played a bit with the laser at work and it's sort of OK but not great... which is unsurprising as this laser is really made for marking metal, not wood (I do have an email in to the laser tech support asking for suggestions on the laser parameters). I don't want to use cheap plastic stickers though I suppose a transparent background sticker between two coats of varnish might work.
