Lets just say that somebody were to recognize that they will never make much if any money off of an airplane design.
Suppose this person were to design an airplane that could easily be cut out of sheet aluminum by your local water jet guy. Suppose the form blocks for all the bulkheads and ribs could be cut out by the local router guy.
Suppose the files were released under the creative commons license structure after the design was flight tested.
What would the liability be for the designer?
Could a donation model be used?
Would this even be worth the risk?
