So, I WANT to build or restore, but I didn’t have the “hey let’s go work on this car son!” kind of dad. Therefore, my skills are rather lacking. Would a builder assist program be beneficial? Is it going to cost a super ton?

BONUS FOR OUR WISE ELDERS: in the days before EAA and what not, did the manufactures of kit or plans built aircraft offer build assist? Or did you perhaps ask around and make some friends who could teach you the skills/use their tools (or guide you on what tools you’d need) and what have you? Thanks.
