What is the maximum allowable airplane or glider landing glide ratio, without being equipped with spoilers or flaps? Either by regulation or common sense.
I thought the answer was in Basic Glider Criteria, but can’t find it.
My guess is around L/D 15 to 1. But interested in opinions. I suppose a good slip authority might be enough, but what approach L/D is considered necessary for a clean airplane or utility powered glider?
