Hello all,
My name I Mark Wirtz and I am coming from the RC world of aircrafts to pursue my lifelong dream of building an aircraft. I’m from Virginia, in the Army and spend a lot of time tinkering. I love to tinker, bring my ideas to light and enjoy the results. For example, after building an RC heli/ plane…I get to enjoy flying it or after adding an engine to my mountain bike, racing it up and down the street and going for a long ride on it.
The real reason I am here, in this community of aviators is because I have a dream, well lots of them and I want to start checking them off. I am interested in ultra lights, paramotoring and flying with as much freedom as possible. So, I would like to acquire, train on, and fly both of them. I have also had a design in my head for years and I want to gain the knowledge to bring it to light. I think it is a unique design/ new tech that crosses an ultra light, motorcycle (only in the sense of similar ergonomics of the pilot’s body position) and a hang glider. Oh and Yves Rossys jet wing. Throw that in there too. He started building a wing in an RC airplane modeling company and now is my aviation idol. I look forward to learning from all the experience in here!
...does anyone else's wife look at them crazy when they discover you tinkering in the garage again? haha
