Ceconite Lite uncertified fabric is 1.87 oz. per yard, 72" wide and about $7.50 per yard. Compare to Ceconite 102, which is 2.6 oz. per yard, also 72" wide, and about $10.50 per yard. I figure I need 11 yards to cover my IILS. The overall weight difference between the two fabrics is about 8 ounces, and the Lite is about $33.00 less expensive. I have heard that the Lite requires less weave filler and paint, so there may also be savings there . . . maybe.

So the question is, what are the downsides for the Lite Ceconite? The aircraft will be hangared whenever its not flying.
