At some point I intend to build an acrobatic biplane, the Skyote. I also plan on a personal chute as a plan B option. But I don't want to go skydiving, because plan A is always land the plane.
So the other day I got a look at the iFly vertical wind tunnels that are now scattered around some of the larger metro areas. So now there is a way to learn how to stablize your body as you fall through the air, as tumbling may not allow a parachute to open properly. I talked to one of the guys that assist people being trained who claimed that nearly all the trainers were skydivers. He also said that in the early stages you do about 2 minutes of free fall instead of he 30 seconds they normally get from a typical drop.
Any thoughts?
