A (German) friend pointed me to Luft '46, a site dedicated to what could have happened in aviation if Germany hadn't lost the war.
It makes for some pretty interesting designs:

Anymore extraordinary designs? Of course everybody is familiar with the Boomerang and many other weird aircraft, but these designs really got me thinking about different approaches.
