I was contacted by researchers in Holland and thought I might ask here for help identifying the crashed aircraft in the attached photo. Photos have recently emerged of a WWII crash on April 9/10, 1943 where a Lancaster MkIII was shot out of the sky. Its 4000 pounder exploded and the explosion also caused a Messerschmitt Bf 110 F4 to go down. There are three photos, of which two are clearly of the Me 110, but there is great doubt about the third (attached) photo. Any help would be much appreciated.
