Hi Everyone,
I am looking for some information on how to calculate the Maximum load generated by extending the flaps, so that i can select a cable that has adequate tensile strength to cope with this.
the aircraft is a Rans S6ESA Microlight, I have attempted to contact Rans themselves but am yet to have a response and i feel that this may be the best place to ask the question.
the reason that i want this is that my current cables require replacing and i have noticed that the cable running from the flap lever to the rear bulkhead is 8ft long and has a U-Bend in it where a straighter 4ft cable would do (in my opinion) a better job with less bends and a much shorter run.
I will need the calculations to submit to the LAA for approval.
if anyone can help me with this it would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
Chris
