Does any body know what the specs (weight, thickness and strength) of the graphite/carbon uni fabric originally used on the Viking Dragonfly canard and wing spar caps is. The materials list in my plans just states 5” wide graphite unidirectional cloth. No other detail. 30 years ago in old catalogs what Wicks and ACS listed did not appear, on the minimal detail provided to be the same products. Neither list it now. Do cloths today have a higher ultimate tensile strength for the same thickness than 40 years ago. I have noted that other suppliers list 4oz and 9oz uni-directional carbon fabric but it may have a higher UTS than the original called for in the plans. Hard to make a choice without knowing what the specs on the original fabric was. Some one will know.
