Doing a bit of horse trading I acquired a 2800cc GP Type 4. The heads had been ported and polished, the speed shop that put it together documented the build including duration on the cam measured at (I think) 0.1". I asked Art @GP a few years ago if he'd heard of Steve ever making something that big and he said no and hadn't seen anything in print to suggest it either.

So, I called Dan Diehl. I figured if anybody had heard of something that displacement it would be him. *He* said he'd never heard of one but asked for scans of the paperwork.

None of the assembly instructions from GP addressed this bore and stroke, only the smaller engines.

I've got the electric starter and have no plans to hand prop.

Any thoughts on which magneto might be a good match for this?
