Hoping someone here can provide the dimensions of the fuselage attach points and fittings one would use to mount floats on the Kitfox IV.
As I have mentioned elsewhere, I'm scratch building a Flying Flea which I intend to mount on straight floats (only - no landing gear for ground use).
I understand that Zenair/AFM has offered in the past float rigging kits for the Kitfox IV, including top (fuselage) fittings. Apparently, Zenair/AFM is in the process of relocating to the main Zenith factory in Mexico, Missouri (from Ontario) and are not currently offering float attach fittings. However, they have encouraged me to check back with them periodically.
I am at the point in my build where it's time to add brackets to my fuselage to which the float fittings will attach.
I have read numerous posts on the teamkitfox forum about mounting floats, but I haven't (yet) found dimensions of the fuselage brackets & associated fittings.
Second question: If AFM/Zenair/Zenith doesn't bring these fittings back to market, can anyone recommend a CNC shop that would be happy to mill such fittings as a one-off for me?
