I’m in the process of installing a “red cube” Electronics international” fuel flow transducer. Its inlet and outlet ports are 1/4” npt female threads. (Tapered). When I try to attach 1/4” npt ( tApered) male threaded fittings into the ports, I get a maximum contact of about 2 threads before I tighten the fitting. After tightening I get maybe 2 1/2 turns. The inlet and outlet ports are about 8 threads deep. Is this normal? Doesn’t give a good feeling knowing only a little over 2 threads are holding the fittings in, especially since the transducer is downstream of the h.p. Fuel pumps.
