Do you guys think it would be ok to have the air cooling an engine (such as the O-200) going through the wing root and exiting out the back, top, or bottom of the wing?

Like what this Cassutt might do if the firewall was about a foot and a half or so closer to the leading edge.

You dont think the wing could get too hot do you? Think it would be better to have an inverted cowl flap in the bottom of the wing, or the top of the wing... or a box structure that exits at the trailing edge?

On top of the wing would be sort like this.. but farther back... Thered be more of a penalty if it were on top wouldnt there?

On the bottom of the wing would kinda be like... well I'm having internet problems.. but I was thinking it would be simular to the oil cooler exit on the Corsair... for example.

The box structure would be sorta like this.. but smaller and at the trailing edge... sorta
