I am coinsidering painting my dacron covered aricraft.

i have found various references to diluting the paint with automotive windshield washer fluid.

I cannot imagine that all brands of washer fluid in all markets are identical therefore my questions are

1 what is the active ingredient in washer fluid that is of value over and above water?

2 is the fluid used neat or diluted with water?

3 what is its benefit? Is it just a wetting agent

any and all ad vice greatly appreciated
thank you
